Dobra is a company that works with art and culture.
We create artistic solutions for people. Theater shows, creative experiences, workshops, creations on demand and a list that a list that only grows over time, according to what our imagination is is capable of. The possibilities are endless!
It all started in 2011 when, after attending the Professional Development Program (offered by LISPA – London International School of Performing Arts) we started the process of our first show, Hominus Brasilis. With great success and excellent reviews, Hominus was nominated for the main theater awards in the country. Still under the name Cia de Teatro Manual, we gained prominence inside and outside Brazil, being part of national and international festivals in the USA, China, Argentina and Portugal.
Our theatrical repertoire also includes the shows “A Menina e a Árvore” (nominated for the main children’s theater awards in Brazil), “Vermelha” and “A Mulher que Sonhava”.
Since 2016, we have been offering creative experiences for companies, with great impact among employees.
On TV, we co-created the performance of scenic pictures in the “Cronistas do Rio” Program, on Municipal TV of Rio de Janeiro – MULTIRIO.
In 2020, our great change: Cia de Teatro Manual becomes Dobra. Dobra means double, fold, multiply. We create facets, new angles, shapes. We bend. We broaden our way of thinking about the role of our art in the world and in people’s lives. As artists, we have the must impact and transform whoever passes by us. We are always available to reinvent ourselves and help you create new paths, unfold and redouble to discover how many ways you can be.
Welcome to Dobra!
